Ewige Sicherheit ist ein Schwindel!

If You Don't Think So, You Will if You Read This! This Article is a little long, but it is jam packed with arguments that PROVE OSAS is a LIE!

"Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain." 1 Cor. 15:1-2

A common theme, I have often times encountered in conversational pieces with others, is the notion that once a person "believes" on Christ they are safe and secure in the arms of Jesus forevermore. (this seems to be the prevalent understanding of most Churched folks). Too many have been exposed to this teaching and have NEVER questioned or examined its authenticity. For one to come along and challenge this tenet is on par with denying the Bible entirely! Yet, the question remains, and needs to be answered, does the Holy Bible teach once a person is Saved, they will remain Saved always? (i.e OSAS) I understand all too much that lots of modern day theologians and preachers comfort their converts hearts (searing their consciences in reality!) by conjecture insisting that a Believers "legal standing" with God is secure as the Righteousness of His Son, however, what we need to do is look into the the Scriptures and see what Word reveals about Salvation. For example, did Jesus teach His Disciples were exempt from the roaring lion (i.e the devil) who is waking about, seeking whom he may devour? (1 Pet. 5:8-9) If so, then we now must ponder WHY Jesus warned that "even the Elect" could be deceived? (Matt. 24:24-25) If a Christian can never forfeit their Salvation with God, then why would the Master make it a point to warn His followers about deception? To what purpose would such an admonition carry, if those who received it had no chance of falling prey to it? Does that make any sense? Of course not! The Truth of the matter is (whether you agree with it or not) is that the Scriptures disprove this doctrine of preservation and show that even some of the Disciples of Christ decided to "walk with Him no more!"

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. Jn. 6:66

Jesus warned very clearly in the Sermon on the Mount that His followers must "enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it, because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it" (Matt. 7:13-14) Many preachers who teach the doctrine of 'eternal security' would be quick to say that the "many Disciples" who "walked with the Lord no more" (in Jn. 6:66) were always on the "broad way that leads to destruction" to begin with! Why do they say this? The answer is obvious. If these individuals were truly Soldiers of the Cross and on the "Narrow Way", then this Scripture would affirm that Salvation is conditioned upon a Believers continuance in walking with Jesus! As follows, if this is so, then the idea of a person being "Once Saved Always Saved" vanishes! Think about if for a minute -- HOW could these Disciples walk away from the Lord, IF they indeed (as the preachers teach) NEVER walked with Him to begin with? Impossible! In like manner, many teachers will appeal to Jesus' instruction to His Disciples ("and you will be hated by all for My name‟s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved."Matt. 10:22) and twist the Lord's words up. By this I mean they will assert that Christ was really saying that ONLY those who "endure to the end" of their faith, were Saved to begin with! Yet again, I ask you, is this what Jesus said? If so, then all the Scriptures in the Bible must now be RE-interpreted to fit this exegesis, but if not so, then we must now let go of the idea that Salvation is UN-conditional.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (Gal. 6:7-9)

This is a basic principle that is taught throughout the entire Bible! Under Grace, man CONTINUES to reap what he sows. (Jer. 17:10; Matt. 16:27; Rom. 2:6; 2 Cor. 5:10; 1 Pet. 1:17; Rev. 2:23; 22:12) As seen in the parable of the talents, the Lord expects His children to be 'good and FAITHFUL servants' in regards to the gifts and abilities which He imparts! (Matt. 25:14-30). The Scriptures teach that Eternal Life is a HOPE, which means, it has YET to be reaped! (Tit. 3:7) This is WHY the Apostle told the Galatians to not "grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." (Gal. 6:9). In fact, Paul taught that" Eternal Life [will be granted] to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath"! (Rom. 2:7-8) In another passage, he taught that if he did NOT discipline his body (through the obeying the Spirit) he himself could become a "castaway" (1 Cor. 9:27) (this word "castaway" is the same expression Paul used when explaining the "reprobated" state of the Gentiles who were "given up" by God because they did not like to retain Him in their knowledge -- Rom. 1:28) Understanding that Paul did not think himself to be eternally secure APART from remaining steadfast in the faith will explain why he warned the Corinthians to "examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified." (2 Cor. 13:5) Now, if Salvation cannot be thwarted once it is obtained, then what‟s with all these warnings? Was Paul writing to heathens or the Churches? To what purpose would it serve for Paul to write these things to Believers who he understood could NEVER be duped by the "spirit of error"? (1 Jn. 4:6)

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked (2 Pet. 3:17)

This Scripture alone disproves the fallacy of eternal security completely! Who else could the "Beloved" be in this instance? Pagans? No way! Peter is plainly issuing a SEVERE warning to Christians that they could "fall" from their OWN steadfastness in Christ and be "led away" with the error of the wicked! First, we need to admit the impossibility that one could "fall" -- having NEVER stood to begin with! (I say this in regards to the 'perseverance of the saints' doctrine)

Second, we need to perceive what Peter was referring to by the "error of the wicked". The answer is found by backing up just a verse or so. (2 Pet. 3:15-16) There you will discover that Peter identified people who "TWIST" Paul's letters (which he called Scripture!) are in the Apostles aim! He refers to them and "untaught" and "unstable." By untaught he meant, not led by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 2:1-3; 1 Jn. 2:27) and by unstable he must have been alluding to the double mind (Jas. 1:7-8). With this in mind and recounting what we have already gone over thus far, do you think its possible that individuals who teach "Once Saved, Always Saved" should be included in this number? I surely think so. The formulation of the doctrine of eternal security is a perfect match to 2 Pet. 3:17! This doctrine perverts the teachings of Paul, confirms that once you stand you can never fall, which in return, removes people from their steadfastness in Christ! For those of you who still do not see what I am speaking of I will offer another example. Paul taught young Timothy that if people reject the "purpose of the commandment" (love, sincerity & purity of heart) they WILL shipwreck their faith (1 Tim. 1:5 & 1:18-20). According to those who embrace the doctrine of eternal security, it must be said that these individuals Paul spoke of were NEVER on the ship to begin with! (in other words, they had phony faith and were never Saved upfront, for if they were then OSAS goes into the trash can!) However, the question in this scenario is, HOW could people suffer ship wreck (according to the faith) IF they were NEVER on the ship to begin with? It is a FALLACY!

Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, IF you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. Rom. 11:22

Many in our hour boast about the goodness of God, yet fail to comprehend the Severity of the Father. Like this Scripture says, with God there is "goodness and severity!" (keep in mind this is said AFTER Jesus died on the Cross!) In this instance, the Apostle is explaining HOW the Jews were "cut off" from God (due to their UN-belief or disobedience - Rom. 11:23) and how the Gentiles were "grafted in" (Rom. 11:17). (If you read this passage carefully you will see a similarity between Paul and Peters expression of people who "fall" or have "fell" -- Rom. 11:22 & 2 Pet. 3:17).

The WARNING in this instance is that the Gentiles must "CONTINUE" in the goodness of God (belief in the Lord and obedience to His commandments!) or they too WILL be "cut off"! There couldn't be a more plain statement made in ALL Bible that affirms regenerated man can "fall from Grace" (Gal. 5:4) Yet, the doctrine of eternal security DENIES this is possible! If a person is Saved forevermore once they believe on Christ, then HOW could they ever be "cut off" from God? Impossible! Yet, the Scripture reveals this is an ever present danger!

Just look at the Churches in Revelation! (Rev. 2-3) Five out of seven were already being called back to REPENTANCE by the Lord! What about Judas Iscariot, one of the original Disciples of Jesus? There is NO eternal security preacher on the face of this earth that will admit he was Saved to begin with, however, the Scripture testifies he was numbered amongst the earliest Disciples and given by Christ the "POWER over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease" (Matt. 10:1-4) Clearly, this POWER was that of God, namely, the Spirit of God! Jesus taught, "every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?" (Matt. 12:25-26). In other words, Jesus was refuting the scribes who came down from Jerusalem and said, “He (Jesus) has Beelzebub,” and, “by the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.” (this is what subjects people to eternal condemnation as individuals who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit NEVER have Forgiveness with God -- Mk. 3:28-30). The point I am trying to make is that Judas had obtained this POWER through Christ, which means, he was a partaker of the Divine nature (2 Pet. 1:3-4). As follows, he WAS Saved to begin with! In no other way could he "cast out demons!" So, what happened to Judas then? According to Peter (who would know!) "Judas BY TRANSGRESSION FELL" (Acts 1:25). Again, he could ONLY fall IF he stood to begin with! (not to mention the Bible teaches sin is transgression! -- 1 Jn. 3:4).

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine-dresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. Jn. 15:1-6

The only parabolic teaching recorded in Johns Gospel is also the most informative instruction Christ ever gave! He soberly testifies "If anyone does NOT abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jn.15:6) Keeping with the discussion at hand, HOW insane is it that multitudes continue to embrace a teaching that asserts one could NEVER be lost once their found, when Jesus' own Words declare that "IF" you do NOT abide in Me, you will be cast forth as a branch, "WITHER" and be thrown into the fire and "BURNED!" (Jn. 15:6) Stop and ask yourself, HOW could a branch wither IF indeed it was NEVER green to begin with? Impossible! Yet, the doctrine of eternal security dismisses this teaching in order to keep their fables alive! Strangely, another portion of Johns Gospel is used to teach the heresy of "Once Saved Always Saved". I am thinking of the passage where Jesus says, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father‟s hand." (Jn. 10:27-29) Many have found this as a PRIME opportunity to explain away eternal security. The focus is isolated to the latter part of the passage ("no one is able to snatch them out of My Father‟s hand"), while the prior half is IGNORED ("My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.") Even while this passage may seem to imply that Believers are Unconditionally Saved, the reality is the condition was laid forth by the Master! He said His Sheep "FOLLOW HIM!" Therefore, this passage must be teaching that if one is following the Lord, they can NOT be unexpectedly "snatched out of His hand"! However, this is far from what advocates of eternal security would have you to believe! Their doctrine of "Once Saved Always Saved" DENIES that a person must continue to FOLLOW the Lord, since initial faith seals the soul for eternity! But this is NOT possibly what Jesus was saying. He made it clear that "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me." (Lk. 9:23) On the other hand He pronounced that "he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is NOT worthy of Me." (Matt. 10:38) In Salvation we are workers TOGETHER with God (2 Cor. 6:1) Paul taught that Jesus will "present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— IF indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel" (Col. 1:22-23). So then, who can separate you from the love of God (which is attached to keeping His commandments -- Jn. 14:15 & 1 Jn. 5:3) -- YOU CAN! (Rom. 8:35; Eph. 4:30; 2 Tim. 2:11-13; Heb. 10:26; 12:15; Rev. 2-3)

For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end (Heb. 3:14)

Jesus WARNED that Converts could believe for a while and fall away in a time of temptation (Lk. 8:13; Jas. 1:12) Belief is the opposite to UN-belief and entails becoming a "DOER of the Word!" (Rom. 2:13 & Jas. 1:22) Jesus asked, "WHY do you call Me „Lord, Lord,‟ and NOT do the things which I say?" (Lk. 6:46) In other words,WHY do you claim to love God, while you do NOT abide in His Word nor keep His commandments? (Lk. 10:27; Jn. 14:23; 1 Cor. 7:19; 1 Jn. 2:3-4) Many of you who boldly claim you are partakers of the Divine nature have NEVER "escaped the corruption that is in the world through LUST" and lack "substance and evidence" in your walk of faith (Heb. 11:1 & 2 Pet. 2:1:4). For sure, you "believe" in something, yet, if you were in touch with your Bible you would be aware that even "the DEVILS believe!" (Jas. 2:19) Most of you have the faith of demons, that is, a dead faith. (Jas 2) As the Scripture says, "for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." (Jas. 2:26) The missing dynamic from your lives is faith WORKING by love to cleanse the heart of sin (Gal. 5:6 & 1 Jn. 1:5-7). This is WHY many of you appear religious through your denominational ties, yet your affections and dispositions remain VILE and wicked to the core. In other words, you have cleansed the OUTSIDE of the cup (Church attendance, P's & Q's, nicey nice!...) YET inwardly your remain full of hypocrisy and guile! This is a result of what you have been taught in the Church! Your brain has been washed from all reason and darkness has BLINDED your eyes to the Truth! You have accepted modern day doctrine that admits your born a sinner and Saved through a sinners prayer or ritual like adherence! (this is communicated to us NO WHERE in the Gospel!) You have been told your FUTURE sins were Forgiven by the virtue of Christ' sacrifice, deeds don't count, sin only incurs a loss of rewards and nothing you do or don't do can add or subtract from Salvation! (again, NOT in the Bible!) You have been told (in varying ways to be sure...) there was a magnificent MORAL exchange that took place on Calvary and you are NOW convinced that God sees you as OBEDIENT Jesus when you sin and that He is obeying in your heart while you run around in the world! That's your good news you take from door to door! You are seared in this deception and destined to perdition UNLESS you REPENT of this delusion and escape it before your time is up!

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. (1 Cor. 10:12)

Dont buy into the FALSE Grace message of our day and IF you already have abandon it NOW! (2 Pet. 2:1-3; Jude 3-4) The original LIE that was given to the first parents in the garden is being communicated to you by the (FALSE) Gospel preachers today, that being,“You will NOT surely die" upon disobeying the Lord (Gen. 3:1-6) Take heed, Christ WARNED in the parable of the prodigal son that if you go away from the Father, you will (spiritually) DIE (Lk. 15:24 & 32)! Paul warned that "she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives." (1 Tim. 5:6) Don't be deceived by the Serpents craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2 Cor. 11:3) Do you not know that the unrighteous will NOT inherit the kingdom of God? (REGARDLESS of what your preacher or spiritual leader has to say!) Again, be NOT deceived! Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Cor. 6:9-10) Are you on this list? Don't listen to the LIES of the modern day Seminary Grads and theologians who imply the Greek language is implying a continuance in these actions is the Apostles aim! Its a LIE! One sin KILLED the first parents and has the potential to kill you! (1 Jn. 3:8) These WARNINGS were written to the Churches for a reason -- do NOT err NOR triffle with sin -- its wages is DEATH! (Rom. 6:23) Dig into Word for yourself. Test all things with the Scripture (1 Thess. 5:21). Divide the Word of God correctly (2 Tim. 2:15) Seek the Lord while He may be found! You who have been raised under this school of thought (OSAS) must forget what you have been taught from VBS to now! It's all based on a false premise and NOT in line with early Christianity! In closing, understand, that just like a marriage situation takes cooperation, so does Salvation with God! Jesus expects faithfulness and devotion from His followers. (many pagans are faithful to one another apart from God being in their lives) Just like with your job, you must consistently show up to remain employed, right? Same with God. Just like with School, to pass a class you must attend the lectures and be diligent in your studies! Anything in life that you want takes commitment and dedication! Why do you think its any different with God? The Lord said,"I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me." (Pro. 8:17 & Heb. 11:6) There is NO magical formula in Salvation! The Bible declares,"we are workers together with God so that we do NOT receive His Grace in vain! Eternal Security is a MYTH and YOU must endure to the end to be Saved" (Matt. 10:22).
